My container or booking status in eModal is different than it is at the terminal

In your Import folders, please note the “Last Terminal Update” column. Some terminals update every 5 minutes, some every hour, with most falling in between.

The container is showing as Not Available although it should be Available
|
eModal posts only information provided directly by the terminal. Some issues to be considered
- Has my container been updated recently?
- Is Customs Cleared?
- Is my DO on file?
- Is Freight paid?
- Is Demurrage due?
- Is my container still in the yard?
All these may play a factor into why a container is not available.

Why does my container show up as a "Mystery Container"?
|
There can be several reasons for the status not displaying:
- The check digit needs to be omitted (LBCT & YTI)
- The terminal did not send any information about this container/booking number
- The number is no longer in the system because it has been more than 14 days since last activity

How do I customize my Import Folder?
|
|
From the Container Folder drop-down, please select Manage Folders and then the folder you wish to customize.

The last receiving day seems incorrect
|

How can I check to see if there are fees due?
|
- Log onto eModal
- Select Container Folder from the Navigation bar, and then Import.
- Click on the Folder Name your container is in, or that you would like it to be in.
- Locate the container(s) of interest; if the container is not listed, you may add one or more.
- The Demurrage column will display the amount of fees due, if any.
- If the terminal participates in paying fees online, you may pay these fees by clicking "Pay Fees" and following the instructions.

Why is my container "not available for viewing"?

eModal is posting a different Last Free Day
|
|
Container and booking information posted in the eModal Activity Folder is information provided by the marine terminals. eModal does not change, edit or modify the information. eModal relies on the marine terminals to provide accurate and timely information.

Why can't I add more booking numbers?
|
|
You might have used up your allotment of free folder items. eModal allows you to keep 15 folder items in your folders free of charge. To check how many you have used, select "Manage Folders" from Container Folder. Your Item Usage, on the left hand side, will show you how much of your allotment you have used.

eModal does not allow me to add any more containers to my folder
|
|
You are limited to 15 containers at anyone time in total. If you find you need access to more containers, please check out eModal Pro to find out how to get access to additional folder capacity.

My container at LBCT or YTI does not show in the Activity Folder
|
|

Is my D/O on file?
|
|
Please look in the driver column for the appropriate company code. If the space is empty, the delivery order is not yet on file.

How do I add multiple containers?
|
- From the Container Folder menu, choose "Import" from the dropdown list.
- Select the folder in which you would like to add the containers.
- Click "Add Container". Type/paste in your container numbers, each on it's own line. The folder will show container status as provided to eModal by the terminal.

How do I interpret the container status?
|
|
Some of the information in the Container Folder is interactive. Please click on the underlined symbol to learn more details.

The Last Free Day for my container has changed
|
|
eModal posts data as received from the terminals. Please contact the terminal for further information.
