eModal Chassis Check provides the trucking community with an efficient way to electronically file a DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) on a chassis before the chassis arrives at an interchange point. A trucker can file a DVIR from the chassis location by sending a text message or accessing eModal Chassis Check via a smart phone, in cab internet or through their dispatcher. eModal sends this information to the IEP (Intermodal Equipment Provider) and the terminal so that the chassis can be isolated and repaired prior to being released back onto the street, thus keeping defective chassis off public roads and improving safety.
