How do we get more RFID tags?

Select eModal Trucker Check, Manage Truck, then find the truck you are interested in. Or select Add Truck if it hasn't been added already. Select the tab marked Request RFID Tag and follow the steps there.

My RFID tag is broken. What should we do?

Broken tags can only be identified as such if indicated by an RFID reader at a marine terminal. Those readers will generate an email to you for replacement instructions.

Marine terminals in the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle initiated the program to increase security and gate efficiencies.

What if I do not have an RFID tag on my truck?
|

Check with the marine terminal that you are calling at for their policy as you may be delayed or possibly denied access.

I just hired a trucker and there is already a tag on the truck. How do I activate the tag for our company?

Log in to eModal, select Add Trucker from the eModal Trucker Check pull-down menu. The tag number will automatically be transferred to the truck tractor based on the license plate.

I just hired a trucker without a tag on the truck; how do I get the trucker a tag?
|

Select eModal Trucker Check, Add Trucker and fill in the information for the new trucker. Once they are in the system to can select their truck and click the Request RFID Tag tab.

The truck is no longer active with my company, what should I do with the tag?
|
|
NOTHING, LEAVE IT ON THE TRUCK – DO NOT REMOVE IT. Simply deactivate the trucker in eModal.

Can I transfer the tag from one truck to another?
|

NO – DO NOT REMOVE THE TAGS!

What shall I do if my trucker drives for more than one company?
|
|
A truck will have only one tag, regardless of how many companies have registered the driver.

I received an email that says that one or more RFID Tags did not register properly at the terminal. What do I do now?

To add a trucker, select eModal Trucker Check, select Add Trucker and enter all required information. If the trucker is already registered, click on Trucker Check, View All Truckers, select the trucker, select EDIT and make all required changes. |
